Editorial policy
Local Screen Spotlight aims to make its suggestions clear, grounded and useful without overstating what a planning idea can do. We distinguish general guidance from facts that require verification and welcome readers pointing out errors.
Accuracy and context
We check factual statements and explain the limits of general advice. Where a subject depends on a venue, screening rights, equipment or local requirements, we say so rather than treating one situation as universal. We do not present personal experience or hypothetical examples as reporting.
Independence and partnerships
Editorial choices are made for their relevance to readers, not to secure a commercial relationship. Paid, gifted or otherwise partner-supported material is labelled plainly where it appears. A partnership does not guarantee favourable coverage, and partner placements are kept distinct from independent editorial recommendations.
Corrections and illustrations
If a reader identifies a factual error, we review it and correct or clarify the relevant text when warranted. Some illustrations may be AI-generated; when they are, they are identified as such and are not presented as documentary images.
